Black Palace Beach is the nickname of Dubai’s public beach, located in the New Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. It is situated between the Beach Palace of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid al Maktoum and the Burj Al Arab hotel. The city of Dubai is located on the Emirate’s northern coastline. It is a cosmopolitan metropolis, serving as a business and cultural hub in the Middle East. The city is known for its skyscrapers, including the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa. It is also recognised for the man-made islands and some of the largest shopping malls in the world.

The beach is an important tourist destination for the city with several hotels located nearby, such as the Radisson Blu Hotel Dubai. Black Palace Beach is also near Dubai’s Media and Internet Cities, as well as Dubai College. Dubai’s economy is influenced by the presence of the largest man-made harbour in the world: Jebel Ali Port, ranked seventh in the world for container traffic. The city is an IT, media and financial hub, which has attracted many large corporations. Companies with office space or other facilities in the area include Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, IBM, CNN, BBC, and Reuters.

Black Palace Beach is located in close proximity to other Dubai’s attractions, including Al Sufouh Beach, Palm Jumeirah, Shelton Jumeirah, the Burj Al Arab 7-star hotel, and Jumeirah Beach Park. Restaurants in the area of Black Palace Beach are primarily located in the many hotels around the beach. Dubai has a variety of restaurants offering diverse cuisine options. Examples of popular spots include the Jabal Al Noor, Pars Iranian Kitchen, Al Fanar Restaurant & Café, Asha’s, and Kiku.

Transport Information

The beach is located 38 km (24 miles) from Dubai International Airport. Several bus stops are located in the area including the Dubai College and Knowledge Village stops, the later providing a bus route to the airport. Cars are no longer allowed to enter the beach but there are several parking options nearby. Dubai Internet City Metro Station 1 and Sharaf DG Metro Station 1 are both nearby providing access to the MRed line. Taxis are also a popular and readily available way of getting around.
