Zug is the capital of the Canton of Zug. It is situated within view of the mountains of the Bernese Oberland, and the Rigi Mountain which is also called the Queen of the Mountains. The old town part of Zug is right on the edges of Lake Zug. The town got its name from a term used in the Middle Ages which referred to the right to fish and use fishing nets. Visitors can watch the sunset over the lake with breathtaking views of the mountains.
